Last week we hit the road and headed to Utah for school shopping and a little break before the summer is over. The kids were so excited and anxiously awaiting our arrival in "TAH" (Utah). Greyson just kept asking if we were in "TAH" yet he was so excited. Going school shopping in Utah every year is something my parent's used to do with us so it's was kind of fun if not a little disconcerting to be doing it with our kids. Here's the kids ready to hit the road.

The first night we were in Utah we were just driving around trying to decide where to eat. All of a sudden from the back seat we hear "Look Dad, Chuckie Cheese where a kid can be a kid." Maddy had seen a Chuckie Cheese commercial and recognized there logo, needless to say it looked like we would be having pizza for dinner. The kids had a blast and I have to say it was pretty fun, Brandon and I hadn't been since we were both very little and it was just fun to see the kids having a blast.
The kids loved the hotel and jumping on the bed. Don't let these pictures fool you it was hours before they finally fell asleep. The first night they were up way to late, the second night they were pretty exhausted and it went a little better.
The next morning we headed to Park City for school clothes. It was really busy and really hot, but we found some great deals and some really cute clothes for both of the kiddo's. We unfortunately forgot the stroller but Greyson was really good in spite of it. He did end up on Brandon's shoulders for a good portion of the day, as a result of all of the walking and extra weight Brandon's ankle and foot which had been feeling somewhat better ended up getting all swollen and irritated again. After Park City we went to the Old Spaghetti Factory for lunch, this is one of my favorite places so we always hit it when we're in Utah. After lunch we went back to the hotel for a little break and we watched some of the Olympics. Later that evening when we mistakenly thought it had cooled off a little we went and walked around temple square. It was super hot but the grounds were gorgeous as always. Maddy was excited to see lots of pretty brides on their "Happy Wedding Day". I tried to take some fun pictures of the kids but they were pretty uncooperative for the most part. We all enjoyed the temple grounds and all the gorgeous flowers.
We hit a few more stores that night and then just hung out at the hotel. The next day we stopped at the mall and few other stores before heading home. The kids were sad to be going home, and Greyson kept asking all the way home to go back to "Tah". He's still asking on a daily basis if he can go back today. It was great to get away for a few days and we were able to get all of Maddy's school stuff in the meantime. I think it's something we'll try to do every year before school starts.

Oh how I love Park City!:) I am glad you guys had a fun time! The next time I go to Utah I just might have to take Grace and Emme to Chuck-e-cheese, those pictures are cute and it looks like Maddy was able to be a kid:) However I didn't ever ask you if the food was any good?
P.S. We had fun last night as well! We should have movie nights more often! Gracee woke up asking if her friend was still here and I told her that Brooklyn had went home and she said "no I mean Kira" She is a definite keeper according to Grace:)
