Happy Easter!!

We had a wonderful Easter day. I always enjoy Easter Sunday and the chance to reflect on our savior and his life and Resurrection. How grateful we are for the atonement and the sacrifice made for each of us. We tried to emphasize to the kids that their was more to the holiday then the Easter bunny and I think we were able to do so. While we were at church the Easter Bunny found our house and left a big mess which the kids were only too happy to clean up. The kids loved trying out some of their new goodies and loved flying their new kites. Maddy got hers caught on the roof but Brandon managed to get it down in one piece. Later we went to Jaime's for Easter dinner with my side of the family. We had lots of yummy food and then the Easter Bunny found the kiddo's there as well. After another Easter egg hunt we went out and flew kites some more because Grandma and Grandpa had bought some for all of the grand kids. They loved it and were having so much fun seeing whose was the highest. When I was winding Maddy's in the kite got away from me and was blowing far far away. Maddy was really upset and said "this always happens to me", luckily it caught on a neighbors fence and Grandma was able to save the kite. So we had to bouts of kite drama for the day but both ended on a high note. After that we went to Grandma Lori's and Grandpa Bob's for some very yummy dessert and some rousing games. The kids enjoyed a Barrel of Monkeys and we all had lots of fun playing "chicken foot" with the dominoes. It was a great day full of family, food, fun, and remembrance.
