Big Slacker!!

So it's only been like a month no big deal right. Time is just flying at our house. School is going great, Maddy loves her teacher and loves the 1st grade. She was so happy to catch up with old friends and is making new ones as well. She eats hot lunch most of the time and for being as picky as she is she is doing better than I thought she would. She was very excited to start back to dance and is loving the new year and new dances. She is also very anxious to get started on her solo. She is also enjoying starting piano again with Grandma Lori. Greyson is adjusting to Maddy going to school all day but really likes the weekends when she is home with him. He loves the days McKade comes to play so he has a little buddy.

We have done lots of fun stuff and I forgot my camera for most of it but we went to SummerFest in St. Anthony with Mom and Dad which is always fun. We celebrated Skyler's birthday which the kiddos loved having him visit from Montana. We went to Ammon days and a car show with Grandpa Lou all day long and had way to much fun and got way to much sun.

For my birthday we went to the fair and we all enjoyed our annual trip to Blackfoot. The kids loved the rides and the food. Greyson and I enjoyed the petting zoo and animals, Maddy and Brandon opted out. Greyson did great and would pet everything but the alpaca, Maddy is still pretty scared of all living things but I think we have made a little progress. For my birthday the kiddos and Brandon got me tickets to the So You Think You Can Dance tour coming to Salt Lake in November. I was super excited and we are looking forward to a fun girls weekend in November.

The kiddos both got a touch of the flu and Greysons was pretty short lived but poor Maddy had it for three days and couldn't keep anything down. Not so much fun, she's never been that sick and she didn't like it so much. The kiddos are very healthy so hopefully that's it for us this season. We also decided to randomly go on a drive one evening and ended up at Blacktail which the kids loved and can't wait to go back and play for reals.

We also hit the demolition derby with Grandma Cook and Grandpa Lou. We thought Greyson would love it and he did but he got bored after awhile. What was surprising though was how much Maddy got into it. It was also Brandon's first derby as well and he enjoyed it also. Maddy has been getting ready for her big primary program and is very excited about it. So I think that's most of the highlights of the last month and I am going to be better about keeping up!!
