The 24th of July, Happy Birthday Grandpa Bob, and a Little Accident

Saturday was a very eventful day, we started out in St. Anthony for the 24th of July parade. This is my favorite parade because there are actual floats and because it brings back a lot of memories. It was really hot and bright, but we all enjoyed watching the parade with Grandpa Lou. Maddy had fun taking lots of pictures and the kids got a lot of candy.





That afternoon we went to Grandpa Bob and Grandma Lori's for Grandpas birthday. I can't say enough how blessed our kids are to have such amazing grandparents. They have four wonderful grandparents who absolutely dote on them, and it's even better that they're all so close and we get to see them often. Grandpa Bob is completely adored by all the kids and we are so grateful to have him be such a big part of our lives. After the party it was time to say goodbye to Chandler, Erica, and Skyler who have been visiting for a month. We were sad to see them go, but can't wait for their next visit.




Later that night Brandon got in a little motorcycle accident. He messed up his shoulder and has road burn all over his one side, but his ankle and foot got the worst of it. He had x-ray's and the doctor only saw old fractures ( that we didn't know about)but he was going to have the radiologist look at it today to be sure. He messed up some ligaments and tendons and damaged the tissue. His foot and ankle are about 4 time the size they should be. He's doing better today though and he can actually put weight on it, he just has a really, really bad limp. Maddy has been really cute helping with ice and anything else Brandon needs, she's been the perfect little nurse. She asks about every two minutes if he needs anything. We were very blessed and very grateful that there was no serious or permanent damage to Brandon or the bike.
