It was another great week, with the first few days spent trying to recover from our long weekend. After we caught up on sleep and some housework we had fun playing outside.
This week Maddy was so proud that she has finally mastered her "round off". She was so proud of herself and can't wait to show her gymnastics teacher this week.
This week we went to the movies with Grandma Lori and Erica and Skyler. Maddy and Greyson enjoyed Veggie Tales, Skyler not so much. After the movie we went to the park and had a picnic. The kids had lots of fun playing and love that Skyler is back home to play with.
On Friday the kids got to play with Jaycee and Sicilee while there mommy was in the hospital. Friday night Ainslee Jo was born and she weighed 6lbs 14 oz. and was 19 inches long, and she looks just like her big sister Sicilee.
Saturday we headed to the hospital, The kids were very excited to meet their new cousin.
When we got there Maddy was of course ecstatic she loves babies and is affectionately known as the "baby hog" at our house. Greyson was a little apprehensive at first, he's not a big fan of babies or even the idea of them. In these pictures he still wasn't so sure about her. But slowly he wrapped his little arms around her and stroked her little cheek. He was sneaking her kisses and the look on his face was precious. He had the cutest little smile and it was obvious he was completely smitten with his new cousin. When we finally let someone else have a turn to hold her he wanted her back immediately, he kept saying "my turn, my turn". So now it appears we have two "baby hogs at our house". He's also no longer opposed to the idea of a new baby at our house, so that only leaves one person to convince, so we'll see.
Saturday night Maddy, my mom, and myself went to a belated bridal shower. One of my best friend eloped so it was an after the fact shower. It was nice to catch up and have a girls night and then we went to dinner after.
For Brandon and Greyson's boys night out they went to a car show and out to eat. It sounds like they had a good time as well. That night we also discovered our other babies had hatched. We had another killdeer nest in the back yard and we check it every day. We had started to worry because it has been a long time, but now there's four new babies running around the backyard.
