Botanical Gardens and the Fair

After our picnic at Beaver Dick Park we stopped at the Botanical Gardens. We hadn't been up yet this year and I wanted to take the kids before everything froze. It always amazes me what a beautiful job they do, and of course it was great for a few photo ops.

Saturday we made our annual trip to the State Fair for some family fun. Brandon was already down there taking one of his turns in the WFG booth, so we met him after his shift. Sometimes I wonder why we go back every year, the kids are terrified of all the animals and the rides aren't so much fun. But then we eat and I realize the reason we go to the fair ever year is definitely for the food. We made a loop, rode some rides, had some yummy food and then headed home. We only stayed for a few hours but it was plenty of time. The kids had fun and it was nice to make our annual trek to Blackfoot. Brandon has had to make the drive a few more times to help at the booth so he is pretty faired out. But it's been good for WFG and they are meeting lots of interesting people so it will all be worth it.

I cannot believe it is fair time again! I don't know if I am sad or not that we missed it, probably not sad...glad would be the word. We miss you guys!

Looks like you guys had fun to. Thank goodness for the good food, or we wouldn't even go. Hope things are going good. We should get together again sometime, Nakeaden keeps asking about Maddy & Greyson. Have a good week!!

I love that slide! I miss the fair! More specifically I miss tiger ears. I've made them at home, but it's not quite the same when you can't smell the animal barns in the distance.
