We have had a busy but fun weekend. Maddy had a practice dance competition at Rigby High School on Saturday. Her class were some of the littlest kids there, but they did a fantastic job. She is such a good little dancer and has so much fun doing it. Poor Greyson is such a good sport about getting dragged to all of Maddy's dance performances, he has not gained an appreciation for the art of dance as of yet and I kind of don't think he will (hmm, wonder who he takes after), he usually makes it about a half hour before he is completely bored and refuses to sit or be good any longer. I'm sure in a few years Maddy will happily be attending Greyson's activities. Grandma Lori, Grandpa Bob, Aunt Jam, David, Uncle Jus, Carlee and Mason all came to watch, but they just missed her performance, luckily she has about fifty more in the near future (not really it just seems like it) so they'll be able to catch her dancing later. She was still grateful for the support and happy to see everyone there. We love having such supportive and caring family so nearby.
On Saturday we had some friends over for dinner and it was good to just visit and enjoy each others company. All of the kids had fun playing and running around. It's fun to get together and catch up.
Saturday also marked one year since selling the daycare. I am so happy and grateful to be able to focus only on my kids and our family. The daycare was a blessing in that I didn't have to (or wouldn't) leave the kids with someone else, but in every other way, dealing with employees, and parents and always worrying and stressing it was definitely hard. It has been so wonderful to spend the last year doing fun things with the kids and being able to create great memories and go and do things we wouldn't have been able to do with the responsibility of the daycare. I am realizing more everyday how fleeting time is and that very shortly they won't be little anymore. Just enjoying and remembering the little moments have become very important to me. I am so grateful for our two wonderful kids and the opportunity and privilege it is to be a mommy.
It has also been just over a year since my dad had quadruple bypass surgery. We were all really surprised that he needed it, and reminded just how precious life and family are. His recovery went great and he is back and better than ever. We are so happy and grateful to have a healthy and happy Grandpa Lou still here with us. He is such an important part of our lives and we love him very much.

It's amazing how fast time flies by! I to am so grateful that we didn't lose a daddy, last year. We were truly blessed as a family.
