Festival of Trees!!

This week Maddy had her first dance performance of the season at the Festival of Trees. We love going and seeing all the christmas goodies and beautiful trees, it's a great way to start the holiday season and watching cute little dancers is just an added bonus. They performed their jazz dance "Walk like an Egyptian", it's super fast and super cute. The material for costumes was on back order so they aren't quite done so they just wore their favorite leotards. When we were getting ready Maddy asked "Mom, do I look like an Egyptian?" I said "Well, you're wearing white and dancing barefoot so..." she just looked at me and said "So, not really". In spite of technically not looking like and Egyptian I thought she looked pretty cute, and she insisted on posing before we left. Greyson also insisted on being in the pictures and with a face like that how can I refuse.





We walked in and first thing Greyson spotted Santa tucked over in the corner, and hollered "There's Santa", Santa heard and waved for him to come over and suprisingly enough Greyson agreed. When he got on his lap he was pretty quiet and didn't have to much to say but with a little help from Dad, Santa got the request for "Cho Choos". So far the only ones getting presents this year according to Greyson are him and Jaime. He's getting trains and she's getting a baby, everyone else is out of the loop.



Maddy lost all interest in seeing Santa when she spotted Andee so they just checked out all the trees.



Maddy's class did so great for their first performance of the year. I wish I knew how to post video because they are adorable. It's a tough little dance and they are doing so well with it, they are a fun group of girls. Even Brandon who is pretty oblivious when it comes to dance was very impressed and proud of her progress so quickly this year. Maddy beamed the whole time she just loves to perform and was so excited to see everyone who could come out to support her. I only got this picture then my brand new batteries died (grr). Greyson was having trouble seeing so he climbed down on the floor and scooted on his tummy under the chair in front of us so he could watch through the ladies feet in front of us. It solved his problem and he had an unobstructed view of the performance, silly boy. Anyway they did great and we are so proud of her and can't wait to see her next performance.
