Happy Mother's Day!!

We had a wonderful weekend at our house. We found out Brandon is indeed coaching Maddy's T-ball team this year which we are all very excited about. And somehow I ended up becoming the T-ball director. It should be a fun season!!

Saturday morning we woke up very early and headed to Montpelier for Maddy's last dance competition of the year. She had to be there ready to go at 8:30 a.m. we made it and spent the day enjoying watching Maddy dance. Grandma Lori and Grandpa Bob even made the long drive over to watch. They did great even though they were missing a couple of girls and Maddy enjoyed learning a new hip hop dance and participating in the dance down. We left about 1:00 after Brandon and Greyson had reached their quota for hours of dance in one sitting, so we're not sure where they placed but we had so much fun this year going and supporting them in all their competitions. We just love her studio and teachers and are so proud of the progress she makes from year to year.

Sunday the kids were thrilled to give me my presents and then we enjoyed church. Later in the day we were able to spend time with the important mom's in our lives. We are so grateful for them and all they have done for us, they are wonderful women and great examples of motherhood. I love being able to celebrate Mother's Day and am so grateful to be a mommy, I think I have the best job in the world and am so grateful for our two sweet little spirits. Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies in our life!! (no pictures my batteries died again!!)

Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom..
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom ..
