A Lot Going On!!

So I have a little catching up to do!! Last weekend for Memorial Day we headed up to Ashton to take flowers to the cemetery. I'm always grateful for a day to reflect on loved ones gone and the sacrifices so many have made for our country. It's always and emotional visit and a trip down memory lane. Maddy loves to hear stories and see the places they happened. I miss my grandparents so much but am so grateful for all the wonderful memories I have of them. We stopped at Mom and Dad's on the way home to check out their never ending remodel and it's looking great. Then on Saturday Maddy got a very exciting piece of mail!! She got her packet telling her she had made Rubies!! She was obviously over the moon and so proud of herself. We are so happy for her and were even more excited when we saw she had placed second highest on her new team!! She was happy that her bestest dance friends all made the team and is looking forward to another wonderful dance year at ERDA.

T-ball has also begun and they have had a couple of practices. Maddy is loving having Dad for a coach and Brandon is experiencing coaching at a completely opposite level then he is used to!! He is being very patient and trying to establish some fundamentals. While Maddy is loving this, Greyson is furious that he doesn't officially get to participate. He keeps insisting he's big enough and playing catch with Mom just isn't cutting it. He was so upset at one point he was literally stealing third base, when Brandon made him take the base back he sat on it in protest until he was physically removed. The team voted on a name and the resounding winner was..... THE DRAGONS. Maddy is not terribly happy with her team name but it will kind of go with their teal shirts!?! Games start next week and we can't wait.

School wrapped up this week for Miss Maddy. They played really hard with field trips, movie days, and inflatables the last few days. She is sad the year is ending but is very excited at the prospect of being a 1st grader. I don't think it will be long before our social butterfly is missing her friends and ready to head back to school.

Friday night Brandon and Maddy finally made it on their date to the new Hannah Montana movie and dinner. They had lots of fun even if only one of them loved the movie. Maddy was thrilled to have some one on one Daddy time. Greyson was not so happy to be the odd man out so we headed to the park which he loves and then for ice cream after. We also had a blast and it was a great start to the weekend.
