Dance Recital

Tuesday night was Maddy's big end of year dance recital. We were so overwhelmed by the amount of love and support she received. She was so thrilled to have so many people she cares about there to see her perform. We want to thank everyone who came and waited so patiently for it to start. It got started about 40 minutes late and then ran longer as a result. She had Grandma Lori, Grandpa Bob, Great Grandma Mitchell, Grandma Cookie, Grandpa Lou, Uncle Justin, Mason, Aunt Jam, Uncle David, Ken, Rena, Andi, Liz, Gracee, and Emme all come to watch. She performed great and wanted to keep dancing all night and then she got totally spoiled after the recital. She ended up with 3 bouquets of flowers, 2 balloon bouquets, a candy bouquet, hair bows, candy, and a ballerina figurine. Then the next day she got a rose from Erica and Skyler to let her know they were thinking of her even though they couldn't make it. She thought she was pretty special, she was beaming all night so thank you everyone for helping make her night so special. That night when I was tucking her in she told me what a great night it had been and how "when she dances it makes her heart happy". We are so proud of our little dancer and so happy she has found something she loves.

Our little man gets sillier everyday. When he says yes these days it's more like "yessss" with a long emphasis on the "s". He's also started saying "Thank" to just about anyone and anything. Everything is "thank mommy, thank, daddy". He's also started saying love you all the time but it sounds a lot like how he says yellow. He's also started another silly bedtime routine. When we tuck him in at night not only do you have to tell him night night. You have to tell his drink, his pillow, his blankets, his doggy, and each car individually "nigh, nigh". He won't let you leave until everything has been told "nigh, nigh". He also yelled at Maddy today because she was in his room. It was quite the telling off and pretty funny to watch. He was really good at Maddy's dance recital and had fun visiting friends and family and wandering back and forth.

I had the chance Wednesday night to go down to Brandon's office for spouse night. It was great and it's so wonderful to be able to associate with good, positive people who have similar goals and dreams. It was nice to get out and visit even though we were missing some of our favorite people who where not able to make it. The kids had a lot of fun with Grandma Lori and Grandpa Bob while we were gone. We are so lucky to always have such willing and eager babysitters in all the grandparents and other family we have so close. Thanks again everyone for all your love and support.

I was so sad that I had to miss Maddy's performance. But Justin said she did awesome and Mason seemed to enjoy all the girls in their pretty costumes. Tell her to keep up the good work and that we are so proud of her. We love you guys!

We are sorry too that we were not able to be there, but Maddy was in our thoughts that whole night. Your little ones are growing up so fast, and it makes me sad that we are not able to be there to see them grow. Please give them hugs from Aunt Erica and Uncle Chandler, and a big squeeze from cousin Skyler. We love and miss you all!!!
