Wonderful Weekend

We had an amazing weekend. Saturday we went Mother's Day Shopping and we took the kids to Primo's for dinner. Both of the kids really like salad but Greyson refuses to use his fork. It was really funny watching him eat his salad with his fingers, he was completly covered in salad dressing. Maddy had fun spending her play jar money at the dollar store and was very meticulous at finding just the right things. Sunday morning the kids and Brandon gave me my presents. Brandon had picked it out by himself this year and Maddy wasn't happy to not be included in the decision so she made Brandon take her shopping and she picked out lotion and linen spray. Brandon surprised me with a spa basket and certificate's for a massage, facial, and pedicure. I was really surprised and it was a very thoughtful gift. I have never done any of those things so I'm really excited. That morning we went and had breakfast with my parents and Jaime and David. Breakfast was yummy and then the kids watched cartoons with Grandma and Grandpa.

Church was really nice, Maddy sang with the other kids in sacrament and then she also gave a talk in primary. She did fantastic and then I also got to enjoy Brandon's finance Sunday school class. After church we went to Brandon's parent for yummy dessert and to visit his family. As an added bonus we got to talk to Uncle Tyler who is on a mission in Mexico.

He'll be home in July and it was really great to be able to talk to him. It was so nice to spend Mother's Day with so many of our loved ones, and to have a chance to reflect on the blessings of motherhood. I am grateful for our amazing mothers and for the opportunity to be a mom.

Today we have been getting ready for Maddy's big end of year dance recital tomorrow. She's so excited and can't wait to perform for all of her family and friends. We also tried to catch up on housework tonight and had a little mishap when I was mopping. The floor was wet and Greyson came running in and slipped. He fell flat on his back and was not very happy. Luckily he's a tough little guy and was running around soon after.
