Maddy had her first two games this week and if I thought practice was chaos the games take it to a whole new level. The game on Tuesday was a wet cold mess. She was excited to see everyone and kept waving while in the middle of the field. Towards the end she got tagged out and then running back in she got knocked down by the other team's coach. So the game didn't end very well for her and she wasn't sure if she wanted to keep playing. I told her she had to finish out the year but if she didn't want to play next year we wouldn't sign her up. She told Brandon "I didn't know they could tag you out or I wouldn't have ever signed up". She thought she got tagged a lot harder then she actually did. Here are the pictures from Tuesday and her fan club braving the lovely weather. Greyson had fun on the toys and was mad when we made him get off because they were so wet and he kept slipping.
Doesn't it look like every one's having fun
On Thursday Brandon asked if she was ready for her game or if she still didn't want to play. She emphatically said "Oh no I'm playing next year and you're going to be my coach." So she was excited again and couldn't wait to play, before the game Brandon taught her to hit to the left side of the field which will pretty much ensure she is safe the vast majority of the time(in t-ball anyway). The weather was much better, just that Idaho wind. She did great and got her first hit and also scored a run, (even though you're not supposed to keep score in t-ball), and was back to diving and chasing after every ball regardless of it's location. Needless to say being the baseball fanatics we are we were thrilled Thursday was so much better and she really had fun. Greyson likes the games because without fail he can con one of his grandparents into playing the whole time. Next week should be interesting, the coach is going to be gone so she asked Brandon to coach next week. She said Maddy's athletic and knows what she's doing so can you coach. Brandon loves to coach baseball but going from High School and Legion ball to t-ball should be amusing (if not frustrating) to say the least.

that looks like so much fun! when is her next game? we'd like to try and come if the weather is somewhat decent.
We are sorry that we cannot be there to see adorable Maddy playing t-ball. We will be there the last weekend in June and will be in Idaho until the end of July. Can't wait to see you guys. Give the kids hugs for us. We miss you all.
Sounds like a good time, especially considering the Idaho weather! Ugh, if that wind doesn't stop soon I'm going to scream!
