Christmas Recitals and Programs!!

On Friday we braved the horrible weather to attend Maddy's Kindergarten program. They had learned nine new songs and were very eager to show off their new skills. It was really cute and they were so proud and really belted out the songs. My favorite was hip hop reindeer it was super cute.

Later that night we got to go to Maddy's Christmas Dance recital. It was a nice little program and her little team was adorable as always. They danced to Choral of the Bells, with little jingle bell bracelets. Greyson really enjoyed the recital as well. He sat with Grandma and Grandpa and was being a little noisy so when I leaned down the aisle to tell him to be quiet, the little stink covered his eyes and said "it's too dark you can't see me", later he started flirting with the cute little girl behind us. He said they were playing hide and seek and then when she left he told us "I lost my girl". It was pretty cute and I think we might be in trouble with him. He's a very good sport about being dragged to dance, piano, or school functions for Maddy.

Sunday was the Christmas program at church and we got to listen to Maddy sing with the primary. It was a very nice program and I always really enjoy the Christmas program at church. Later that night we had The Martin Family Christmas party. The kids had fun playing and a special guest even showed up but this time Greyson wouldn't sit on his lap. Tyler introduced Kira to the extended family and gave her a taste of what she's in for. They moved the wedding up to the February 5th so are busy with wedding plans. The kids just love Kira and are so excited she's going to be their Aunt.

It seems like we have either been running or dealing with crazy weather lately. In spite of that the kids always manage some silly time, and we have also been loving on baby McKade. That is whenever anyone else can pry him out of Maddy's arms, she is a complete baby hog and we have to fight for out turn to hold him. McKade is a little snugglebug so he is happy to oblige her.

We are loving the holiday season and all that comes with it. It seems sometimes it goes so fast and we have to remember to slow down and enjoy it, and remember the real reason we are celebrating. It's also a great time for me to put things into perspective and remember how truly blessed we are.
