So Many Firsts!!

Today was a big day at our house!! Maddy has been wanting to get her ears pierced for quite a while but has been too afraid of how bad it would hurt. We had decided she was old enough to make the decision herself and she finally decided the perks would outweigh the risks. If you look very closely in the picture you can see SHE DID IT!! It was a little touch and go for a minute and luckily they did them both at the same time or else I think we would have left with only one. She was so brave and almost made it, she was holding back the tears but a few snuck out. She only cried for a second afterwards. Greyson just kept telling her "Good job, sister", he was so funny I don't think he really knew what was going on just that she was being brave. Now that it's over she is on cloud nine, she thinks she's pretty big stuff and can't wait to show them off and pick out different earrings when the time comes. For now she thinks her little pink diamonds are fabulous and is very pleased with herself.




Just as we were leaving the mall we got word that Jaime and David had snuck off to the hospital and had McKade without telling anyone!! (they are in big trouble, but we'll let them adjust to this big change first) He was born at 5:20 and weighed 7 lbs and 6 ozs and was 21 inches long. Jaime and McKade are both doing great, and the kids were very excited to meet their new cousin. Both of the kids are very anti hospital but Maddy forgot all about it when she got to hold the baby. Greyson was pretty standoffish and didn't like seeing Mamie in a hospital bed so he didn't have to much to do with the baby but couldn't stop talking about it when we got home.
