Birthday Bowling!!

On Thursday Maddy woke up very eager to take her birthday treats to school, even though she said she didn't really feel like she was six. She had a great day at school and then they even sang to her at dance. At dance they have been working on pirouettes and so her teacher had the girls teach their mom or grandma how to do a pirouette to help ingrain the steps in their little brains. I'll just say that was the funniest dance class I have ever seen, everyone was a really good sport and one dad even participated. I'm not sure how much it actually helped the girls but it was pretty funny. That night to celebrate her actual birthday we went to dinner and bowling. She picked Applebee's and she has wanted to go bowling again so we braved the bitterly cold wind and headed to Rexburg. Dinner was nice but they were more excited to go bowling. Last time we went Greyson was too little so he didn't really get to participate. So he was thrilled to be bowling, he loved his bowling shoes and would only let Brandon help him the first couple of times and then he insisted on packing and rolling his 8 pound ball himself without any help. It was pretty funny to watch, it literally took minutes for the ball to get to the end of the lane. He was so excited and gave everyone high fives and even made up a silly little bowling victory dance. Maddy was thrilled to be bowling again and with some help from the bumpers she even outscored me which she thought was hilarious. The dancer in her definitely showed after she had bowled the ball she always had a graceful finishing pose. They had so much fun and have been asking when we can go bowling again.
