It's official our baby girl is now a preschool graduate. She was so excited for her graduation program and couldn't wait to show us everything they have been practicing. They introduced themselves, sang songs, and did a little skit. They did a great job and it was adorable. She has been telling me about the little skit and "the og bird" and I have been so confused as to what an "og" bird is. It turns out the skit was about Tacky the Penguin who is an odd bird.
When the kids got their diplomas their teacher told some special qualities about each child, she told us that Maddy is a leader and was always willing and eager to help the other kids. The kids have been working on scrapbooks all year long with pictures of their field trips and parties and special days, she was so excited to show us and she just keeps looking at it over and over again. They really are cute and something she will treasure for years to come. After the program she got really sad because she's going to miss her teachers and her friends and she "might never ever see them again". She's such a tender hearted little girl and grows attached very easily, I can't believe she's going to kindergarten in the fall.
She's been really funny this week. First, the other day during nap time I was watching her sleep. I love the way little ones look when they sleep, like little angels. Anyway I was watching her sleep and she woke up and I told her she sure looked cute when she was sleeping and she got a huge smile on her face and said "I'm so glad you got to be my mommy". Of course it melted my heart and made my day. We were also talking this week about our attitude's and how we decide if we're going to be happy or grumpy or have a bad day, it was a pretty long discussion but at the end she said "Thanks for teaching me these things, I didn't know that". Hopefully our talk will help curb the drama. Then yesterday she told me she wants to have kids but because she doesn't like hospitals or doctors she is going to adopt her babies. I told her it's really not that bad and that I don't like hospitals or doctors either but I would do it over and over again if it meant getting her or her brother, she just looked at me and finally said "Mom, that's just not going to work for me so I'm going to adopt". I didn't even know what to say to her, I just shake my head and hope someday she'll outgrow her fear of doctors and hospitals.

It always cracks me up to read and I constantly wonder what is going on in their little heads with the funny things they say! Kids are so innocent and sweet - not to mention totally hilarious(most of the time).
How do you feel about lunch next monday? I'm waiting to hear back from Brit, and I'll call Bridget tomorrow. It's a little to late to call tonight. Hee hee. Let me know what you think - maybe somewhere in IF.
