Two Sick Kiddos

We have had a few interesting days this week. On Tuesday after preschool we headed to the park. The kids had a blast and Greyson keeps saying he wants to go back to the whee. We only stayed for about 20 minutes because it still wasn't really warm but the kids had so much fun while we were there. Greyson thought he was a very big boy to be playing on the toys like sister got to last year.

Later that night Maddy had another performance and she was disappointed it was "Just at the old folks home". She did wonderful and had fun in spite of it's not so exciting location. That night in the middle of the night Greyson started coughing and hacking. It always scares me just how fast things hit him (I'm also hoping it wasn't from our park outing), we're also a little paranoid since it's been just over a year since he was in the hospital for RSV. He's had a little fever and runny nose but his cough is sounding better and he's not so congested in his lungs. We haven't had to break out the nebulizer which is always a good thing. In spite of being sick he's still our silly boy he's just a little more snugly. He's decided he needs to always have his hat on even if he's in his pj's, he's also decided his favorite color his "ellow" and I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that he hears "Mellow Yellow" on a daily basis. He also likes to tell us he's two but can't hold up just two fingers so he has us help him.

On Thursday Maddy got her awards for her last dance competition a new dance bag and water bottle. She told me for the second time this week "Mom, a girl can never have too many bags" (those words of wisdom are courtesy of Aunt Jam). She has also been struggling with where meat comes from she says "I know hamburger comes from cows but most cows are black and white so how is the hamburger brown." Not a subject I really want to get into because I would have a 5 year old vegetarian on my hands so we agree that it is strange and change the subject. I know this will only work for a little while but she would seriously stop eating all meat. I can't really say anything because I still won't eat eggs to this day after finding out they should have become baby chicks when I was just little.
On Friday we were supposed to go to a wedding reception for one of the guys Brandon works with but Greyson still wasn't feeling the greatest and I didn't want to leave him with anyone. So Maddy went with Brandon instead. She loves weddings and flowers and pretty dresses and they were having a great time until Maddy threw up everywhere. They were sitting down eating their refreshments and she tried to catch it but it was to late and it went everywhere. I felt so bad for Maddy she was mortified and Brandon had to try and clean her up and the table and floor. Luckily our friends Liz and Ruffin showed up and were kind enough to help him out (thanks again guys). Brandon felt so bad that it happened at the reception, luckily they had extra table linens, but it's just not something you want to happen at your wedding reception. So that's our drama for the week and now we have two sick little kids at our house, no throw up in a little while and Greyson's starting to run around so hopefully they are both on the mend.

I didn't get an e-mail about it. Would you mind forwarding it to me. Our e-mail is glblfoster@q.com. Are you going to go? Bridget and I talked about it when I got my hair cut, and both of us are undecided. Thanks!! I think we are both on at the same time, funny how this works.
